Atlantic Homes Average Sold Prices For The Full Year 2007

The following chart shows the average sold prices for houses from January thru December 2007 as well as the prices from 2006. The median prices are about 20% less. This chart will help you determine if the price that you pay is reasonable.
Of course, these are just averages and you should have help in determing what an average house is for the area. But, my belief is that you shouldn't buy a property in an area than the average price for a more expensive area. So, if you saw a house in Sea Point for R7,400,000, from an investment point of view, you will do better spending that money in Fresnaye or Camps Bay.
